The St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage is very pleased to announce that it was successful in its most recent application to the Ontario Arts Council and has received a presenter grant in support for its upcoming 2010 - 2011 Music and Workshop Series. Competition for OAC funding is very intense and the Board of the Stage feels this support is an important acknowledgment of both the quality of performances and workshops it has offered thus far and the support it has received from the Morrisburg community. While the grant does not by any means cover all of SLASP's costs for 2010-11, it gives the Stage a good basis from which to do further fundraising and build an even more successful music and workshop series for the coming year.

Morrisburg's Thom Realty, pictured above with reps Chuck Barkley and Nancy Shailee sponsored the St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage at the May 7/8, 2010 South Dundas Annual Home and Trade Show in Morrisburg. MPP Jim Brownell visited the St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage to congratulate Board Members Derek Hunter, Sandra Whitworth and President Jeanne Ward on the receipt of an Ontario Trillium Capital grant. The grant was used to purchase a new lighting system which arrived in time for the final show of the season on April 24th
